On Premier Skills English, you can find lots of resources for learning English and they are all about football.
Some of the materials will teach you football English. This is language about the beautiful game, connected to playing or watching football. These materials will teach you the words and phrases you need to talk about football on and off the pitch.
The rest of the materials will teach general English through football. The materials will cover the same sort of language you would find in any language course, but the subject of the lessons will be football or related to football.
Podcasts
The Premier Skills English podcast has been going for nearly 10 years and there are hundreds of episodes that you can listen to. Some of the podcasts are about the latest action from the Premier League and others are about football and the language you need to watch, play and talk about the game.

In this section, you can find activities that will teach you the most important words and phrases used to talk about football.
There are the 200 Words, the most important words in football, a series of mini-podcasts called Premier Vocabulary, and Angry Albert, a cartoon about a very angry coach.
Webcomics
In this section, you can find three webcomics about football. The first is Goal which is about a boy called Josh Jones who dreams about becoming a footballer. The second two, Five United and The Beautiful Game were developed around stories that were shared by football coaches who were trained as part of the Premier Skills project. The stories were shared with illustrators in Indonesia and Brazil.
The English Game
The English Game is a video series about students from around the world who have come to the UK and who take part in a series of competitions that test their English skills. Watch the brave competitors as they take on the challenges of the English Game.
