I joined the Premier Skills in April 2018 and worked through the programme qualifying as a Premier Skills Coach Educator.
Before that I attended a 3-months-long coaching course in the UK.
The philosophy of Premier Skills has changed my approach to coaching.
My sessions have become better planned with a clearer direction, and I focus more on the students’ needs. The PE classes I teach at the university can be quite large with around 50 students. Through Premier Skills methodologies and activities, I’m able to keep my students active and engaged in a session and achieve my planned session objectives. What I really like is making the learning experience enjoyable for them.
The Premier Skills training has proved invaluable for football instruction and offers significant benefits for volleyball and basketball coaches at the School of Sports as well. Applying the Premier Skills approaches has led my students to develop a stronger team spirit. They are more open to exchange and discussions, both inside and outside the classroom. They work together better and are more active and engaged in the practical sessions.
I now deliver a course called Cultivation and Development of Football Coaches in the school, most of which is built on the Premier Skills course.
